About the event
About the speaker: Marta's research focuses on paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental reconstructions using sedimentary records, particularly ostracods, to assess paleoclimate impacts on waterbodies, including changes in salinity, temperature, water chemistry, and sedimentation. She employs a multiproxy approach, using stable and carbonate clumped isotopes, with a current emphasis on the clumped isotope thermometer technique for paleoclimatic research.
